I passed by Awaken gymnastic bodyweight training facility when I was out for a bike ride and was so excited to see such a unique gym concept. I got off my bike right then and there and jumped into a foundations class that totally kicked my ass. I have been coming for about two years and steadily worked my way up to taking between 8 and 10 classes a week.

 

Gymnastic bodyweight training gave me a great foundation to try other sports like track, diving, rugby, yoga, bike riding and snowboarding. I enjoy all kinds of activities and the training at Awaken gives me a great overall body strength to do all of the things I love.

 

My weaknesses are definitely upper body strength and compression. I'm most excited to gain the strength for some of my favorite skills like aerials, back handsprings, kips on the bars, splits and free standing handstands.

 

My strengths are lower body exercises, cartwheels and back bends and since joining Awaken, my noticeable improvements are all over body strength and toning and confidence in movement.

 

 

I don't have a favorite body part in particular but I am happy with my overall strength and flexibility.

 

Training at Awaken and joining is the first step in a very rewarding journey of strength and fitness. Don’t be scared to start. Everyone has to start somewhere.

 

Tumbling Class with Dakota (instructor) is my favorite class and I love working on cartwheels and bar work. The training at Awaken has helped me immensely in both my private and professional life.
