Orench Lagman, Owner
Orench Lagman has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. Starting as a personal trainer in the Denver Metro area, he specialized in bodyweight strength training and weightlifting. With an obvious passion for teaching and fitness, Orench’s style instills confidence in his students, leading them to consistently surpass their own expectations.
After attending Metro State University in 1999 where he studied Exercise Science, he was awarded a prestigious internship at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. A lifelong martial artist and Muay Thai practitioner, Orench was honored to serve as an assistant coach for USA Men’s and Women’s taekwondo programs, as well as assisting the Olympic volleyball, basketball, wrestling and speed skating teams using Olympic Lifting techniques and strength training protocols.
Orench has participated and led bodyweight fitness seminars around the world, including England, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Australia.
As head Coach at Awaken Gym, Orench is fulfilling this personal and professional mission, and changing the way the world practices fitness, one student at a time.
Katy Massanari, manager
Katy has a degree in kinesiology from LSU and was an NSCA personal trainer for a number of years in Louisiana before deciding to become a PE teacher and move to Denver. She is an avid runner and lover of all sports; you'll find her glued to the TV watching LSU football and the Saints in the fall.
Katy fell in love with Awaken during her very first class and has been a student and advocate of the programming ever since. She met her husband at Awaken and loves the welcoming environment and social aspect of the classes.
Jeff has always had a passion for physical activity. Growing up in the woods northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado, he could be found hiking, climbing trees and rocks, and riding his mountain bike up and down the dirt roads of his small mountain community. In high school, Jeff took up traditional Kung Fu and spent around 6 years practicing. It was here that he learned physical strength, endurance, and mental discipline which he brings to both his practice and coaching at Awaken Gym.
As a coach, it's his goal to create the best environment possible for students to advance the ways they most need, and to provide the same fitness longevity that everyone deserves.
Leo Trinidad grew up in Manila, Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Having no background in gymnastics, and starting off late, he was still able to acquire strength based skills that he thought only kids can do.
Leo specializes in gymnastic strength training and conditioning. He is most well-known for teaching bodyweight strength, advanced skills, and handstands.
He has facilitated in international gymnastic strength training seminars in the US, Australia, and Singapore. Now based in the US, he teaches many of our classes in addition to offering personal training and skills based workshops.
Keely Knack thrives on making all types of movement and fitness practices FUN! She loves sharing her good vibes and positive energy with others! Whether she's greeting you by name at the front door, or coaching on the gymnastics floor, Keely has a special way of connecting with people and loves being part of each individual's health & happiness journey. Believing in spreading her infectious energy, you'll rarely catch her without a smile on her face, unless she's upside down in a handstand!
Keely has 10+ years of experience in the fitness industry, and has an amazing way of incorporating gymnastics, yoga, and 'outside the box' movements when she's coaching and training.
Lamar is an AFAA certified group exercise instructor. He has been teaching metabolic conditioning and “boot camp” style exercise classes at the downtown YMCA for more than a decade and for almost 20 years has been leading a monthly Red Rocks stair workout. He has been trained by and been training with owner Orench Lagman for almost 15 years and was is one of the original athletes and coaches at Awaken Gym.
Lamar loves teaching at Awaken and looks forward to working with other athletes making the transition to gymnastic bodyweight training.
Ariel J Amber (AJ)
Ariel (AJ) is a bird of many feathers in the world of movement. She began by playing competitive Soccer in 1997, though had to quit due to inflexible hamstrings and over-developed quadriceps which caused her regular knee pain. Longevity in movement had become and still is her obsession. In 2005, she fell in love with Argentine Tango, but eventually this took the back burner as Pole Dancing, College, and Beauty School took the spot light in 2010. She Followed Pole Dancing to her first competition in 2013 and expanded her cross training with Awaken Gymnastics in Denver and completed the Gymnastics Bodies Athlete Training in 2017.

Gymnastics Body Athlete 2017, RYT 200 hours, ElevatED Flexibility Level 1, Floor Flow Flowtege and Reiki Master Teacher 2017.
Hugh started working as a bodyworker 14 years ago, always searching for the fastest way to help athletes and the general public back to peak performance as quickly as possible.
Hugh studied Engineering before following his heart into the bodywork field and quickly realized he could combine engineering with his knowledge of functional anatomy to treat a wide range of disorders, many of which had not responded to previous treatment.
